My Story
When I was in the sixth grade my teacher, Mr. Dean, returned an assignment to me and said, "You have a very vivid imagination, you would make a great writer some day.”
The seed was planted. Moreover, while a seed needs to absorb water and the warmth of the sun before germination is triggered and its protective coat splits, sending the root down to anchor and absorb nutrients, the seed that was planted in me took years for me to absorb language and emotions, so that I may know how to transcribe all of it into a story that moves people. Just like a seed having enough nutrients to push up towards the light, once I discovered my talent and remembered those words from Mr. Dean, I pushed myself forward to give voice to untold stories.
I AM…a Writer. Be it romance, contemporary fiction or historical fiction…I love it all.
I love how creating stories have the power to uplift, motivate and inspire readers. I think the most powerful thing a person can do is to create a story that moves people to tears or makes them laugh out loud. It’s a gift that I’ve sometimes taken for granted. However, as I continue to navigate through life, God has shown me that this is my path.I AM…A Wife, A Mother, A Sister and A Daughter and I take each of those roles very seriously.
I AM…also a project girlie. My creativity swings from DIYing spaces, attempting new recipes, to creating short films. I am a born creative and I’m so excited to have you join me on my WRITE JOURNEY.
